Paws in the Park

Pet adoption and educational fun are highlights of Paws in the Park at DC Ranch.
Furry friends on leashes are welcome at the event; sponsored by a host of major
humane organizations, pet retailers and service providers. Rescue organizations
bring dogs and cats for adoption on site. The event includes music, refreshments,
pet-related activities, information and merchandise. Contests include owner/pet
look-a-like, hot dog eating, best trick and dress up. For more information, call

Run for Life

Runners from across the Valley and around the state challenge themselves during
Run for Life at DC Ranch. Run for Life includes 10K and 5K runs, a 5K walk and
a one-mile Family Fun Run. Prizes are awarded to the top three finishers in each
age category for both male and female runners in the 10K and 5K events. The event
presents challenging courses that wind through DC Ranch. Proceeds from this day

Matthew’s Day

Matthew’s Day on Market Street is a festive family celebration and country music concert benefiting Phoenix Children’s Hospital (PCH). Matthew’s Day celebrates the young life of Matthew Lilien, who lost his battle with pediatric neuroblastoma cancer. Market Street merchants and DC Ranch organize and present the event with the goal to raise funds for the Center for Cancer and Blood Disease Department of PCH and raise awareness of pediatric neuroblastoma. The event features a concert in Market Street Park, live and silent auctions, a children’s carnival complete with rides, petting zoo, face painting, rock climbing wall, a children’s runway show, fun food and more. Hot Summer Nights

Live concerts featuring some of the Valley’s most popular performing artists heat up the Hot Summer Nights on Market Street at DC Ranch. The summer concert series starts in July and continues in August, with performances every Sunday night in The Plaza on Market Street. The concerts are free of charge and open to the public. Summer Snowball

The August heat brings a flurry of snow to Market Street Park at DC Ranch during Summer Snowball. Summer Snowball, which is open to the public, encourages kids of all ages can don mittens, boots and swimsuits and play in tons of snow or chill out in the family picnic area with a cool treat. Tour de Scottsdale

Cyclists from around the country participate in the Tour de Scottsdale- Building Trails, Building Families, a 70 mile and 30 mile race that circumnavigates the beautiful McDowell Mountains in the Northeast Valley. Cyclists follow a spectacular course the winds through five Valley cities and the surrounding Sonoran Desert. The race begins and ends on Market Street with an expo including music, food, merchandise and fun for the Tour riders, spectators and cycling enthusiasts of all ages.
